What happened season one?

Season one is all about children: how their faith is nurtured, what they need, what they are capable of, and what it means to honor children and their lives with God. What you’ll find here is not an exhaustive list of everything you should be doing or need to know. Instead, we invite you to get curious and to explore. Listen to the stories kids tell, the research and insight shared by our guests, and reflect on your own life with Jesus and with your children.

We hope that ministry leaders will find here a resource that can help them elevate the conversation about children in their churches and communities. Whether you share one episode with a colleague or parent in your church, or suggest the whole season, we want The Child in Our Midst to be something that will help you encourage curiosity and start conversations with the people in your ministry about children and their lives with God.

Did you know?

Each episode in season one is titled from the perspective of a child, giving us a glimpse into a child’s rich capacity for a vibrant life with God. While you will find some concrete suggestions about things your family or church community can try to journey in faith together, we have focused much more on exploring the way we think about and approach children. Chances are, there is a lot of good already going on in your real life. Jesus is already inviting you and your family deeper into abundant life in him. We want to help you notice and make space to lean into that goodness and connection with God.
